Mr. Dominic Tano MCIPS, MBA (Board Member)

Mr. Dominic Tano, MCIPS, MBA, is a distinguished Procurement Expert with over 20 years of experience in both public and private sector procurements. He holds an MBA in Business Strategy and Procurement Management from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, UK.

Mr. Tano possesses extensive knowledge in the application of various donor-funded procurement procedures, including those of Danida, DFID, the EU, the World Bank, and IFAD. His analytical acumen has enabled him to handle a wide range of complex procurement-related issues. From 2001 to 2011, he provided procurement and contract technical advice for the Value for Money (VFM) Assessment project in Ghana. Currently, he continues to offer his expertise to the Government of Ghana
through his engagement with WSD Consult.

In addition to his consultancy work, Mr. Tano played a crucial role as part of the Crown Agents team that provided technical advice for the Ghana Public Procurement Bill, which became law in December 2003. His extensive work in
assessing public and private sector procurements has led to actionable recommendations for implementing procurement reforms.

Mr. Tano s professional qualifications in Business Strategy and Procurement Management is complemented by his background in lecturing, which has greatly enhanced his capacity-building activities. He has been involved in numerous procurement capacity assessments and has acted as a Procurement Expert on the team that developed curricula, modules, and training materials for procurement training in Ghana under the auspices of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).

Additionally, he has designed and delivered training programs for various organizations, including Invest in Africa (IIA). His international experience spans Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and the United Kingdom, giving him the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and cultures.

Mr. Augustus Richardson – Board of Advisors Member

Mr. Augustus Richardson brings his extensive expertise in architecture, project management and strategic leadership to the Executive Board of Advisors for Black Gruppe Limited. As the Managing Partner and Architect for Mobius Architecture, one of Ghana’s leading architecture firms, Mr. Richardson has been instrumental in the execution of high-profile projects such as the West Hills Mall, Ecobank Ghana Head Office, Alisa Hotel Comm 12 Tema, and numerous other private and commercial projects both within and beyond Ghana. Mr. Richardson holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PG DIP.Arch) and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (First Class Honours) from the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His exceptional academic background has provided a strong foundation for his professional achievements.

In his current role at Mobius Architecture since 2014, Mr. Richardson has successfully managed projects worth millions of dollars, demonstrating his ability to handle large-scale, complex undertakings with precision and excellence. Prior to his tenure at Mobius, he was a Managing Partner at CadPro Consulting from 2007 to 2014, further solidifying his reputation in the architectural field.

Mr. Richardson is actively involved in professional associations and has made significant contributions to the architectural community. He has served as the Honorary Secretary of the Ghana Institute of Architects since 2018 and is a Board Member of the Architects Registration Council. Additionally, he is an Associate Member of both the Ghana Institute of Architects and the Architects Registration Council. His previous role as Public Secretary of the Ghana Institute of Architects from 2009 to 2011 highlights his longstanding commitment to the profession.

Mr. Ebenezer Yaw Acquah Esq. – Board Secretary

Mr. Ebenezer Yaw ACQUAH Esq. brings a wealth of legal expertise and nearly a decade of experience to his role as Board Secretary for Black Gruppe Limited. As a distinguished lawyer at the Ghana Bar, Mr. Acquah has built a reputation for his proficiency and dedication in various legal arenas.

Mr. Acquah holds an esteemed Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of Law, further solidifying his legal acumen. He also possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Hull, highlighting his robust academic background in law. In addition to his legal qualifications, Mr. Acquah has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ashesi University. This unique combination of legal and business education allows him to navigate complex legal issues with a keen understanding of their business implications.

Mr. Acquah s professional experience spans several critical areas, including Banking and Finance and Commercial Litigation. His comprehensive knowledge and practical expertise in these fields have equipped him with the skills necessary to handle intricate legal challenges and provide strategic advice to the board.

Ms. Desree Sika Arthur – Board of Advisors Member

Ms. Desree Sika Arthur joins the Board of Advisors for Black Gruppe Limited with an impressive background in finance and accounting, boasting over eight years of industry experience. Her expertise encompasses Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgeting, Cash Flow Analysis, and Financial Reporting, making her an asset to the advisory board.

Ms. Arthur s career has predominantly spanned the Oil and Gas and Technology sectors, where she has honed her skills in financial management and strategic planning. Currently, she is part of the dynamic team at Hullabalook, a UK-based tech startup specializing in enhancing product discovery for e-commerce, thereby increasing conversion rates for retailers. Her role at Hullabalook leverages her financial acumen to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Prior to Hullabalook, Ms. Arthur contributed significantly to Faculty Science, an AI company that assists clients in transforming their businesses through bespoke AI consultancy. As a crucial member of the finance team, she played a pivotal role in securing £30 million of growth funding, demonstrating her capability in high- stakes financial environments.

Ms. Arthur s academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds an MSc in Risk Management and Financial Engineering from Imperial College London and a BA in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana. Additionally, she is a Chartered Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), underscoring her professional competence and commitment to excellence.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Arthur is an avid traveller who loves exploring new cultures and cuisines. She is also a passionate Manchester United fan, adding a personal touch to her multifaceted profile.

Mr. Samuel Dakurah – Advisory Board Member

We are thrilled to welcome Samuel Dakurah to the Advisory Board of Black Gruppe Limited. Samuel brings over 20 years of exceptional experience in strategy, digital innovation, enterprise architecture, project management, and process re-engineering. His impressive career is marked by a proven track record of leading high-performing cross-functional teams to drive transformative technology initiatives and change management successes.

Samuel holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Regent University College of Science and Technology and a master’s degree in engineering project management from Coventry University, UK. His extensive expertise is further reinforced by numerous certifications, including ITIL, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), PRINCE2 Project Management, IT Governance Leadership, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, Crestcom Bullet Proof Manager, ISO 27035 Lead Incident Manager, PCI DSS Standards, and Online Banking and Financial Fraud.

In his current role as Chief Information Officer at First National Bank Ghana Limited, Samuel has demonstrated his ability to guide and innovate within complex technological landscapes. His previous leadership roles, including Head of Technology and Business Support Division and Head of ICT Department at Republic Bank Ghana, and Head of Banking Technology at UT Bank Ghana, have consistently showcased his capacity to spearhead successful technology transformations and strategic initiatives.

His expertise in Enterprise IT Strategic Planning & Execution, Digital Transformation and Innovation, and Process Re-Engineering & Cloud Transition Strategy will be instrumental in advancing our company’s mission to optimize and innovate within the procurement and supply chain sectors.

Kwadwo Kwaa-Koomson – FOUNDER and CEO

Mr. Kwadwo Kwaa- Koomson is the Founder and CEO of Black Gruppe Limited, bringing over 10 years of diverse experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, strategy, and consulting. His extensive expertise encompasses strategic and tactical sourcing, supply chain planning, logistics and distribution, supplier relationship management, risk management, and financial acumen in cost analysis, budget management, and financial management. Mr. Koomson impressive career spans multiple sectors. In the banking and finance industry, he demonstrated his prowess in managing complex supply chains and procurement processes. His work in the health sector with the Food and Drugs Authority in Ghana as the lead for Strategy and International Partnerships has further honed his strategic planning and international collaboration skills.

In the media and broadcasting industry, Mr. Koomson served as the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain at Multichoice Ghana, where he streamlined operations and improved supplier relationships. His experience in logistics with Amazon in Germany provided him with a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics. Additionally, as a project consultant with Network Rail in London, he managed critical projects, showcasing his versatility and strategic insight.

Mr. Koomson holds an MSc in International Business Management with Project Management from Kingston University London and a BSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the University of Education. His academic background provides a solid foundation for his professional achievements and leadership capabilities. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Koomson is passionate about music and sports, and he is a dedicated Chelsea fan and plans to name his first daughter “CHELSEA”. His diverse interests and dynamic career make him well-rounded leader, driving Black Gruppe Limited towards sustained growth and innovation.
